The Artist UP! graduating class of 2019 attended the
opening night of their group exhibit which appropriately doubled as
their graduation ceremony. Each student submitted a piece of work for
the exhibition. It has been an honor and privilege to learn week after
week with this amazing group of artists. Lesli Marshall has been a true
inspiration and a fountain of knowledge and I am so very grateful to
SRAC for the opportunity to have taken the Artist UP! course. Opening
night was fun; friends, family and community all turned out for the
event. Jenn McMullen, our performing arts student, provided live
music. Each of us took turns talking briefly about ourselves, our
experiences and our pieces before receiving our certificates. (I wish I
had taken more pictures and video.)
